NCDEX TURMERIC TIPS (MAR 16)

TURMERIC PRICES DOWN IN MAJOR MANDIS

According to market sources, turmeric price in the Nizamabad mandi quoted at R 4,100 per quintal, down by R 100 per quintal. The arrivals in the Nizamabad mandi stood steady at 13,000 bags.

Turmeric price quoted in the Erode mandi at R 3,000 per quintal, down by R 200 per quintal. The arrivals in the Erode mandi jumped to 18,000 bags from 15,000 bags. The Salem variety was trading at R 4,000 per quintal, down by R 200 per quintal.

In the Nanded mandi of Maharashtra, select quality quoted at R 4,600 per quintal, down by R 100 per quintal. The Powder quality traded at R 4,400 per quintal, down by R 100 per quintal.

In the Sangli mandi, Rajapuri variety quoted at R 4,400 per quintal and Desi Kadappa was quoting at R 4,300 per quintal.

The NCDEX Turmeric April contract moved in the range of R 4,214-4,330 and is currently trading lower at R 4,272 per quintal, down by R 16 or 0.37% per quintal.
