TURMERIC ARRIVALS SLIDE IN NIZAMABAD MANDI

According to market sources, turmeric price in the
Nizamabad mandi stood at R 4,800 per quintal, up by R 100 per quintal. The
arrivals in the Nizamabad mandi decreased to 3,500 bags from 4,000 bags over
previous close.
The
arrivals in the Erode stood steady at 4,000 bags with price quoting steady R
4,800 per quintal. The Salem variety was trading steady at R 5,700 per quintal.
In
the Nanded mandi of Maharashtra, select quality quoted steady at R 5,200-5,600
per quintal. The Powder quality traded at R 4,600-5200 per quintal. In the
Sangli mandi, Rajapuri variety quoted at R 6,000 per quintal and Desi Kadappa
was quoting at R 5,400 per quintal.
The
NCDEX Turmeric August contract moved in the range of R 5,262-5,356 and is
currently trading higher at R 5,300 per quintal, up by R 22 or 0.42 % per
quintal.
