RUPEE FALLS 2 PAISE AGAINST US DOLLAR TO 55.16

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Friday. Rupee was marginal lower by 2 paise or 0.04% against USD to Rs 55.16.
Sensex was trading down 7.15 points or 0.04% at 17,271.70 with 17 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 7.45 points or 0.14% at 5,235.25 with 32 components falling.
‎In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.07% to 82.93 (23:41 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.22 down 0.11% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 78.63 up 0.05% (23:47 ET).
