PHYSICAL RUBBER PRICES STRENGTHENS ON THURSDAY

| Physical rubber prices strengthened further on Thursday tailing the gains in domestic futures, however the international markets showed subdued trend and restricted more gains in the domestic markets. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 192/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 191/kg; while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 189.50/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 189/kg. In the futures market, the contract of RSS 4 for March delivery closed at Rs 191.35 compared to its previous closing of Rs 189.85, while the contract for April delivery closed marginally higher at Rs 196.21 compared to its previous closing of Rs 196.12 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
