SENSEX TRADES UP 0.4%; FMCG, IT & TECK GAIN

Indian markets gained in early trade on Friday. The Sensex was trading up 68.28 points or 0.40% at 17,264.75 with 15 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 19.30 points or 0.37% at 5,247.75 with 24 components gaining. www.goldennifty.com
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 61.25 points or 0.36% at 17,257.72, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 27.20 points or 0.52%, at 5,255.65. www.goldennifty.com
Sensex Movers
I T C contributed rise of 24.39 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Infosys (13.15 points), H D F C Bank (12.5 points), Reliance Industries (12.35 points) and Tata Consultancy Services (10.31 points). www.goldennifty.com
However, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation contributed fall of 5.98 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Maruti Suzuki India (5.69 points), Sterlite Industries (India) (4.83 points), Tata Steel (4.77 points) and State Bank Of India (4.73 points).
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Hindustan Unilever (1.91%), I T C (1.75%), G A I L (India) (1.45%), Tata Consultancy Services (1.28%), H D F C Bank (1.11%), and Bharti Airtel (1.07%). www.goldennifty.com
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India (2.42%), Sterlite Industries (India) (2.37%), Bajaj Auto (1.98%), Tata Steel (1.31%), Hindalco Industries (1.24%), and Jindal Steel & Power (1.24%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
