Sensex flat with positive bias at open

Indian equities continued to rally in early trade for the sixth day on Tuesday. The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 106.43 points or 0.60% at 17,813.74, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 51.30 points or 0.96%, at 5,412.95.
At 9.20 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 45.15 points or 0.25% at 17,752.46 with 21 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 9.00 points or 0.17% at 5,370.65 with 35 components gaining.
Sensex Movers
H D F C Bank contributed rise of 7.33 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Reliance Industries (7.26 points), Tata Consultancy Services (6.49 points), Infosys (4.67 points) and Tata Motors (4.05 points).
However, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation contributed fall of 5.34 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Hindustan Unilever (3.66 points), Larsen & Toubro (2.77 points), Bharti Airtel (1.59 points) and Maruti Suzuki India (1.31 points).
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.19%), Coal India (0.86%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.80%), Tata Motors (0.78%), H D F C Bank (0.65%), and Tata Power Company (0.60%).
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.90%), Hindustan Unilever (0.70%), Maruti Suzuki India (0.61%), Larsen & Toubro (0.29%), Bharti Airtel (0.26%), and Tata Steel (0.17%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
