Sensex flat with positive bias at open




Indian markets continued to gain for the third day on Friday. At 9.22 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 38.64 points or 0.22% at 17,869.39 with 22 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 10.40 points or 0.19% at 5,422.75 with 38 components gaining. 

The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened flat with a decline of 13.16 points or 0.07% at 17,817.59, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a fall of 12.55 points or 0.23%, at 5,399.80.
Sensex Movers
Reliance Industries contributed rise of 10.81 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Tata Steel (9.5 points), Bharti Airtel (6.33 points), Tata Power Company (5.27 points) and Tata Motors (4.6 points).
However, Infosys contributed fall of 15.27 points in the Sensex. It was followed by I C I C I Bank (2.18 points), Maruti Suzuki India (1.45 points), D L F (0.85 points) and Wipro (0.69 points).

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Steel (2.46%), Tata Power Company (2.42%), Bajaj Auto (1.36%), Hero Honda Motors (1.15%), Bharti Airtel (1.01%), and Tata Motors (0.87%).
 
On the other hand, Infosys Technologies (0.92%), D L F (0.75%), Maruti Suzuki India (0.67%), Wipro (0.21%), I C I C I Bank (0.17%), and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (0.12%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
