Sensex up over 150 pts; Realty, Metal, Bankex rise

Indian equities continued to rally for the fifth day on Monday. At 10.05 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 155.86 points or 0.89% at 17,760.82 with 26 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 44.40 points or 0.83% at 5,281.45 with 7 components falling.
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 136.95 points or 0.78% at 17,741.91, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a fall of 53.75 points or 1.01%, at 5,272.10.
Sensex Movers
State Bank Of India contributed rise of 23.76 points in the Sensex. It was followed by I C I C I Bank (22.97 points), Housing Development Finance Corporation (14.87 points), Larsen & Toubro (13.39 points) and Tata Consultancy Services (9.81 points).
However, Tata Motors contributed fall of 2.11 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Tata Power Company (1.35 points), Bharti Airtel (0.96 points), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.74 points) and Reliance Infrastructure (1.34 points).
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were D L F (3.86%), State Bank Of India (3.27%), Sterlite Industries (India) (2.73%), Hindalco Industries (2.13%), Maruti Suzuki India (2.07%), and I C I C I Bank (1.80%).
On the other hand, G A I L (India) (1.02%), Tata Power Company (0.62%), Tata Motors (0.40%), and Bharti Airtel (0.15%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
