SHARE MARKET LIVE NEWS (JAN 04)


 

Sensex sluggish; MMTC, Hindustan Copper most active
Sensex Movers
Hindustan Unilever contributed fall of 13.85 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Bharti Airtel (12.8 points), Mahindra & Mahindra (11.01 points), Reliance Industries (9.79 points) and Tata Consultancy Services (9.54 points).
However, I C I C I Bank contributed rise of 17.87 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Tata Motors (6.5 points), Bharat Heavy Electricals (4.3 points), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (4.27 points) and Hindalco Industries (1.55 points).
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were I C I C I Bank (1.83%), Tata Motors (1.73%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (1.67%), Cipla (1.27%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.80%), and Hindalco Industries (0.74%).
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto (4.58%), Mahindra & Mahindra (2.90%), D L F (2.82%), Hero Honda Motors (2.67%), Hindustan Unilever (2.61%), and Bharti Airtel (2.29%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
