'BUY' OR 'SELL' ideas by experts for Monday, January 09

NEW DELHI: Indian markets are expected to trade flat-to-lower on Monday tracking negative Asian markets. However, experts are of the view that the corporate results and IIP data this week will chart direction for markets.

"The quarterly results should provide direction to the market. IT bellwether
Infosys Ltd is expected to come out with its Q3FY12 numbers on 12th January this coming week. The numbers would provide the direction for the Technology stocks as well as to the markets
"The IIP numbers for November would also be announced on 12th January. The broad consensus is at 2.2% growth against 5.1% de-growth seen in October.
The Bombay
Stock Exchange's Sensex ended a low-volume choppy session in the negative territory on Saturday led by losses in banks, FMCG and oil & gas space.

"Overseas investors have pumped nearly Rs 6,500 crore into the Indian
market, including stocks and bonds, in the first week of the New Year," according to a PTI report.

"Between January 2-6, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) purchased equities and debt securities worth a gross amount of Rs 15,168 crore," said the report.

"Technically,
Nifty has been trading in a range since the last few weeks between 4580 and 4820 and the range is expected to break on the downside. The Nifty is expected to trade lower going forward with reversals pegged above 4820 and 16,080 for the Sensex,"
