NSE NIFTY LIVE TIPS 06 JUN 2012


SENSEX RISES 156 POINTS IN EARLY TRADE

                      Indian markets continued to rise in early trade for the third day on Wednesday. The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 79.72 points or 0.50% at 16,100.36, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 23.35 points or 0.48%, at 4,886.65.
Sensex was trading up 155.76 points or 0.97% at 16,176.40 with 30 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 50.60 points or 1.04% at 4,913.90 with 48 components gaining.
Sensex Movers
I T C contributed rise of 23.26 points in the Sensex. It was followed by H D F C Bank (14.88 points), I C I C I Bank (14.12 points), Infosys (12.78 points) and State Bank Of India (10.99 points).
However, ACC contributed fall of 0.57 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Grasim Industries (0.79 points), Maruti Suzuki India (1.08 points), Reliance Communications (1.24 points) and D L F (1.25 points).
All shares in the Sensex settled with gains. Biggest were Tata Steel (1.82%), State Bank Of India (1.67%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (1.67%), Tata Motors (1.62%), I T C (1.51%), and Bharti Airtel (1.43%).
Mid & Small-cap Space
The BSE Mid and small caps underperformed their larger counterparts gaining 0.75% and 0.28% respectively.

The major gainers in the BSE Midcap were Allcargo Logistics (9.48%), Aban Offshore (1.17%), CORE Education and Technologies (0.58%), Alstom Projects India (0.42%) and Alok Industries (0.27%).

The major gainers in the BSE Smallcap were Aegis Logistics (2.78%), A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (1.98%), Aanjaneya Lifecare (1.24%), Advanta India (0.93%) and Reliance MediaWorks (0.88%).
Sectors in Limelight
The Realty index was at 1,574.21, up by 22.04 points or by 1.42%. The major gainers were D B Realty (2.57%), Housing Development and Infrastructure (2.43%), D L F (1.34%), Anant Raj Industries (0.84%) and Sunteck Realty (0.64%).
The Bankex index was at 11,020.88, up by 129.57 points or by 1.19%. The major gainers were Bank Of Baroda(2.4%), H D F C Bank (1.34%), Federal Bank (1.18%), Bank Of India (1.05%) and Canara Bank (0.95%).
The Metal index was at 9,959.83, up by 111.75 points or by 1.13%. The major gainers were Hindalco Industries (1.15%), Coal India (0.9%), Hindustan Zinc (0.87%), Jindal Steel & Power (0.82%) and Bhushan Steel (0.13%).
The Auto index was at 8,826.97, up by 96.98 points or by 1.11%. The major gainers were Exide Industries (1.73%), Ashok Leyland (1.58%), Bharat Forge (0.66%), Bajaj Auto (0.59%) and Apollo Tyres (0.38%).
Market Breadth
Market breadth was negative with 700 advances against 232 declines.
Value and Volume Toppers
State Bank Of India topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 62.64 million. It was followed by Wockhardt (Rs. 48.04 million), Tata Motors (Rs. 26.79 million) and Amarjothi Spinning Mills (Rs. 24.33 million).
The volume chart was led by Cals Refineries with trades of over 1.20 million shares. It was followed by Amarjothi Spinning Mills (0.61 million), Lanco Infratech (0.47 million) and 3i Infotech (0.28 million).
