PEPPER
IS LIKELY TO GAIN FURTHER ON BARGAIN BUYING

Pepper futures ended
with gains for the third day on bargain buying with June contract ending the
day up by R 665 or 1.67% at R
40415 per quintal. The counter moved in the range of R
40840-39625 per quintal. Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi increased to 340
quintals on Monday on 28th May 2012 from 140 quintals, meanwhile offtakes
jumped to 370 quintals from 120 quintals as on Saturday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Monday's trading session with positive note at R 39,700, up by R 400 and Un-Garbled pepper ended at R 38,200 per 100 kg, down by R 400 over last close. Technically, the counter is likely to find resistance at R 40840-40960, R 41520 while support is at R 40250, R 39610 per quintal.
