SENSEX ENDS FLAT; POWER, REALTY STOCKS DOWN

Indian benchmark indices, the Sensex and the Nifty, ended the session flat today amid firm global cues.
Asian and European stocks were up after the Federal Reserve Chairman, Mr Ben Bernanke, said he's prepared for more economic stimulus, if needed.
At 3.30 p.m., the 30-share BSE index Sensex was down 20.62 points or 0.12 per cent at 17,130.67 and the NSE index Nifty was down 10.3 per cent at 0.2 per cent at 5,191.70.
Volume toppers were SBI, RIL, Infosys, TCS and Tata Steel. Among the 30-share Sensex, Coal India, Jindal Steel, RIL and ITC were the major gainers. GAIL, Tata Power, Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto and Sterlite were the major laggards.
Among BSE sectoral indices, Auto, Realty, Auto and PSU stocks were each down by over 0.5 per cent. FMCG, IT and TECK stocks were each up by over 0.05 per cent.
