JEERA FUTURES GAIN ON SPECULATIVE BUYING

Jeera futures found some support near lower levels as speculators picked up bargains on reports stating lower production of the commodity during the current season. However, export demand which was noticed from UAE, Bangladesh in the Unjha mandi in recent days, also aided the upside of the commodity.
The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 12370.00, up by 0.47% or Rs 57.50 from its previous closing of Rs 12312.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 13218 lots.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 12697.50, up by 0.53% or Rs 67.50 from its previous closing of Rs 12630.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 11421 lots on NCDEX.
