SENSEX TRADES DOWN 198 PTS; REALTY, POWER & BANKEX DRAG

Indian equities dropped on Monday erasing earlier gains. The Sensex was trading down 198.25 points or 1.14% at 17,163.49 with 28 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 61.70 points or 1.17% at 5,216.50 with 48 components falling.
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened flat with a rise of 15.85 points or 0.09% at 17,377.59, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a fall of 3.85 points or 0.07%, at 5,274.35. www.goldennifty.com
Sensex Movers
I C I C I Bank contributed fall of 34.55 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Reliance Industries (21.89 points), Infosys (16.76 points), Tata Consultancy Services (16.1 points) and Larsen & Toubro (13.3 points). www.goldennifty.com
However, Jaiprakash Associates contributed rise of 1.46 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Maruti Suzuki India (0.62 points), Wipro (0.33 points), Hindalco Industries (0.76 points) and Reliance Infrastructure (0.86 points).
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Jindal Steel & Power (1.48%), and Maruti Suzuki India (0.27%). www.goldennifty.com
On the other hand, I C I C I Bank (2.79%), NTPC (2.24%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (2.01%), Tata Consultancy Services (2.00%), G A I L (India) (1.58%), and Larsen & Toubro (1.56%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex. www.goldennifty.com
