NSE NEWS
GOLDENNIFTY SAYS :Indian equities continued to gain for the second day on Tuesday. At 3.09 pm, the Sensex was trading up 419.05 points or 2.70% at 15,936.97 with 29 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 130.35 points or 2.81% at 4,767.10 with 47 components gaining.
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 122.64 points or 0.79% at 15,640.56, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 39.05 points or 0.84%, at 4,675.80.
Sensex Movers
I C I C I Bank contributed rise of 42.64 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Reliance Industries (41.05 points), Larsen & Toubro (36.34 points), Infosys (35.71 points) and State Bank Of India (28.96 points).
However, Mahindra & Mahindra contributed fall of 4.01 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Hero Motocorp (0.12 points), ACC (0.5 points), Reliance Communications (1.71 points) and Grasim Industries (2.55 points).
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were D L F (6.98%), Tata Steel (6.37%), Tata Motors (5.60%), Jindal Steel & Power (5.49%), Coal India (5.23%), and Tata Power Company (5.11%).
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra (1.05%) was the only loser in the Sensex.
Mid & Small-cap Space
The BSE Mid and small caps underperformed their larger counterparts gaining 2.48% and 2.31% respectively.

The major gainers in the BSE Midcap were Alstom Projects India (4.27%), Aban Offshore (3.31%), A I A Engineering (2.57%), A2Z Maintenance & Engineering Services (1.35%) and CORE Education and Technologies (0.79%).

The major gainers in the
BSE Smallcap were Trident (4.55%), A B G Infralogistics (4.42%), Aanjaneya Lifecare (1.59%), Aarti Industries (1.48%) and INEOS ABS (India) (0.31%).
Sectors in Limelight
The Metal index was at 9,833.95, up by 481.58 points or by 5.15%. The major gainers were Jindal Steel & Power (5.49%), Coal India (5.23%), Bhushan Steel (4.51%), Hindustan Zinc (3.95%) and Hindalco Industries (3.12%).
The Realty index was at 1,431.03, up by 60.80 points or by 4.44%. The major gainers were D L F (6.98%), D B Realty (4.94%), Housing Development and Infrastructure (4.9%), Godrej Properties (1.17%) and Sunteck Realty (0.05%).
The Bankex index was at 9,572.94, up by 394.89 points or by 4.30%. The major gainers were Bank Of India(7.81%), Federal Bank (4.93%), Bank Of Baroda (4.86%), Canara Bank (4.75%) and H D F C Bank (2.42%).
The Capital Goods index was at 8,430.83, up by 328.37 points or by 4.05%. The major gainers were BGR Energy Systems (7.51%), Alstom Projects India (4.27%), A B B (2.3%), Bharat Electronics (2.23%) and BEML (1.66%).
Market Breadth
Market breadth was positive with 1,994 advances against 743 declines.
Value and Volume Toppers
State Bank Of India topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 874.73 million. It was followed by JSW Steel (Rs. 647.98 million), Reliance Industries (Rs. 514.18 million) and Infosys (Rs. 501.41 million).
The volume chart was led by I F C I with trades of over 4.05 million shares. It was followed by Delta Corp (3.32 million), Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision (2.86 million) and Dazzel Confindive (2.71 million).
