CURRENCY FUTURES FOR APRIL EXPIRY TRADES WITH 1.02% DROP IN OI

The partially convertible rupee was currently trading at 51.47, trade stronger compared to its Tuesday’s close at 51.47/48. The rupee opened at 51.60 and has touched a high and low of 51.63/64 and 51.46/47 respectively.
The April currency future was trading at 51.70/71 with a spread of 0.0025 and a volume of 474,387. The contract opened weaker at 51.78/79 against its previous closing of 51.65/66. The open interest (OI) stood at 1,142,198 down by 1.02% compared to its previous close of 1,154,062.
The rupee had closed at 51.47/48 on Tuesday, while the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) reference rate was at 51.20/21 for Tuesday.
