JEERA TRADES HIGHER IN THE SPOT MARKETS

Jeera or Cumin Seed was trading higher in the spot markets and was being offered up by Rs 10 per 20 kg on demand at Unjha mandi of Gujarat. New cumin seed medium quoted at Rs 1,860-1,960 per 20 kg, NCDEX quality raw quoted at Rs 2,235-2,335 per 20 kg at Unjha market of Gujarat. Arrival stood at 27,000-28,000 bags and traded around same. Cumin seed production in Gujarat and Rajasthan is likely to be around 40-42 lac bags (per bags 60 kg).
