RUPEE GAINS 16 PAISE AGAINST US DOLLAR TO 51.33

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Thursday. Rupee was up by 0.16 paise or 0.31% against USD to Rs 51.33
Sensex was trading up 124.81 points or 0.73% at 17,324.21 with 27 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 40.05 points or 0.77% at 5,266.90 with 44 components gaining.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.19% to 79.64 (23:55ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.03 up 0.71% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 80.87 up 0.01% (23:55 ET).
